Additionally, Dr. Roberts has published a plethora of diverse articles including: “Strategic Human Resources Management and the Implications for the 21st Century Workforce” and the second is titled “A Historical Analysis of Housing Policies: A Case Study of the City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Housing Authority.” Research in progress includes: "Serving Up Justice: Fusing Service Learning and Social Equity in the Public Administration Classroom", and “Globalization and Migration Patterns of Nigerian Women.”
Prior to Dr. Roberts appointment at Clark Atlanta University, she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor, served as a Scholar-In-Training with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the University of Maryland’s Scholar Practitioner Program that primarily was concerned with understanding the impact of the implementation of TANF on Mississippi families which resulted in “Not A Way of Life: The Impact of the Implementation of TANF on MS Families and Children”. This study led to the publication of “Racial & Ethnic Disparities and Welfare Reform in Mississippi” and was the impetus for "The Boundaries of Personal Responsibility: The Impact of the Implementation of TANF on MS Children and Families"

Dr. Roberts currently is a Professor/MPA Internship Director with Troy University (Atlanta) where she teaches courses in Program Evaluation, Strategic Planning, Non-Profit Management, Public Policy, and Grantwriting and Management.
Previously, Dr. Roberts served at Clark Atlanta University in the Public Administration Department where she served as an Assistant Professor/Internship Coordinator.
In this capacity, Dr. Roberts completed a post doctoral fellowship at Syracuse University, Syracuse New York. Additionally, in the summer of 2008 Dr. Roberts received a Fulbright Hays Fellowship to Ghana West Africa leading to research on the “Food Insecurity: A Critical Analysis of the Food for Peace Program and the Impact on Ghanaian Women and Children”.
