Hey girlfriends! It’s been a few since I last talked to you. A lot has happened; we have a new African-American president (Yeah!, Obama), his lovely wife, Michelle, is gracing the cover of Vogue and a new US Senator as well as governor have stepped up to the plate. All of that and no mention of bangs being the new trend for hair in 2009.

So, let’s talk about bangs. This is a little pyramid section of hair carved out at the very front of the head and cut right above the bridge of the nose, or anywhere above that position. Whether they are thick, wispy, swung to the side, or laid across the whole forehead, they make a wonderful change to your look and your attitude! Bangs add that certain something that causes double takes from on-lookers and cause you to look in the mirror and smile at yourself.

The wedged bob is also causing stares. This precision cut has one solid base and is stacked in the nape area to add thickness. Color (i.e. lighter on the top and a couple of shades darker on the bottom) and layering add dimension. If the hair is cut assemectrically and dragged forward it changes the style into something a lot more dramatic.

Of course, adding highlights give the right effect for you ladies that don’t want a full head of color, however, for the more daring; with a base color that has been lifted a few shades, highlights will rock the total complete package.
