FEAR
Because of the state of our economy and the rise in unemployment, there are home foreclosures left and right...once stable companies closing their doors, young people forced to drop out of college
because their parents can no longer afford tuition...there is a dark cloud hanging over the heads of
many people!
Let’s face it...People are stressed! STRESS is a result of WORRY...and worry is the result of FEAR!
Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real! While all of the aforementioned maladies of our society are a fact...the prescription is faith! Faithhas the power to go beyond fact to unlock the truth! Faith is not fooled by appearance. It puts 20/20 vision on your perspective! “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)
The Message translation says it like this: “The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see.” Girlfriends...it’s like shopping and finding the perfect outfit that your wallet can’t see you getting!
Yet, all is not lost because we have the miracle of...the layaway! It only requires a down payment for
which you’ll receive a claim check...a promissory note to hold your items in the back room of “almost
mine” until you finished paying for it!
After the final payment, you can exchange the claim check for the goods you’ve been waited for. The bible is full of promissory notes to bring forth the truth of God’s promises into your life like: “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19)
Not to mention (Psalm 37:25 ) “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous
forsaken or their children begging bread.
So fear not! Because, even if you lose everything you have (fact)... and you still have Jesus (faith)...
you have enough to start all over again...TRUTH!
