10 Steps:  Submitting A Story  To Girlfriends Health Guide

Step 1
Read our health guide or website to see our style. You will have a better chance of getting published if the stories are like or similar to the stories we publish already. We are looking for stories that are written like you’re speaking directly to your girlfriend.

Step 2
Get the writer’s guidelines. The guidelines are on our website. If not, email our editor asking for them. Be sure to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope or email us a request to receive them.

Step 3
Turn your article in on time. Nothing you do is more important than this. If you want to see your article published, and if you want to submit your story again, make sure you meet your deadlines.

Step 4
Research your article. This isn't as easy as it sounds. Some writers can't seem to stop researching and actually write the article. Remember that you don't have to know all that there is to know about your topic. Give us your viewpoint.

Step 5
Write your article. Then rewrite it. Make it the best article you can. Make sure all facts are confirmed as best you can and have your sources on any quotes or statistical data given.

Step 6
Make sure your story is appropriate length (word count). It will be sent back to you for editing or edited by one of our editors.

Step 7
Make sure your photos are properly labeled with proper names (spelled correctly) and locations listed.

Step 8
Please submit your photos (headshot). We like to include your photo with your story if at all possible.

Step 9
Make sure your full name and your contact information is correct.

Step 10
Be proud of your finished work and tell everyone you’re published!
