GIRLFRIENDS HEALTH GUIDE
has been formed by highlighting women of color between the ages of 30 and 50 and their health issues. Girlfriends Health Guide will also feature columns by a variety of physicians who specialize in treating women and articles about healthy cooking, nutrition, fitness and prevention.
In the US, women of color account for approximately one-third of all adult women. Yet, minority women continue to account for a disproportionate number of deaths related to a wide range of health problems including: Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer, HIV/AIDS, Type 2 Diabetes, and Heart disease.

Great accomplishments have evolved from inspired visions and Girlfriends Health Guide for Everyday Women is one of them.
Girlfriends Health Guide for Everyday Women started as a vision of the publisher Matthew Johnson. After the passing of his mother, Ida M. Johnson, on April 7, 2006, Matthew was inspired to do something.
There's been an overwhelming response so far for this unique and niche health guide. Women love the opportunity to read about other women who are experiencing some of the same issues and problems.
It is important that we reach out to women because first of all, their our mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters.
Girlfriends Health Guide for Everyday Women is honored to promote, inform and uplift every woman for their daily contributions.
“The degree to which individuals have the capacity to obtain, process and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions.
Ida loved her husband of 64 years and all of her 8 children. She was a Prayer Warrior in her church and a God fearing woman. She had a giving heart and a hug for everyone she met- especial children. Her spirit is the inspiration that keeps us doing.
